When you hire an MG5 Electric, there’s no need to worry about battery life. This model has a capacity of 87kWh and can be charged up to 80% in just 40 minutes. It also has an impressive range of around 248 miles, which means you can be charged up and ready to take on long journeys in less than an hour.

The EV features MG iSMART Lite, an all-in-one connectivity system housed on the sleek 10” digital screen. Use your phone to connect to the console and you’ll find everything you need in the palm of your hand. The driver-focused display and 7” digital cluster have everything you need to make your ride as smooth and straightforward as possible.
You can charge your MG5 hire car with rapid charging, which can give you up to 80% of battery in less than an hour. To do this, you can use an AC or DC charger – though keep in mind AC offers more power but charges slower at a rate of 43kW.
To charge the car, all you need to do is open up the charging port and connect it to either your home mains charger, or a public charging station. There are currently more than 500,000 public charging points across Europe, so you can plan your route with ease.
From a home charger (usually 7kWh), it can take around 6.5 hours to charge your battery fully, a 50kWh charging station is much faster but not as convenient.
To park an MG5 Electric, you can use the rear-view camera (or 360° camera on Luxury models) to safely park up. The car itself is quite long, so the cameras help you to see any hidden obstacles that might be in your way. Perfect for pulling into tight spots!
