Hertz at Nybro

This small traditional railway building on Stationsplan Square has a chalet-style roof, decorative period woodwork and is painted yellow ochre. Nybro's train station is a classic Scandinavian building facing a wide paved open area, which includes bike racks, bus stops and plenty of car parking. If you arrange to hire a car from Nybro Station, at this leafy spot you'll find the shops and cafes of the pretty low-rise town centre are just a few hundred yards to the north. To drive further afield you'll find the main R31 and R25 roads are less than a mile to the east of the station.

Travellers who collect a hire car at Nybro's rail station can easily drive into the cobbled town centre streets or explore the surrounding area of southeast Sweden too. It's an attractive rural region of forests and farms. The town of Nybro itself is known for glass-making. Two glass factories are open to the public as visitor attractions. The quirky James Bond Museum is also a popular tourist site. Further afield, the historic seaside city of Kalmar is only a 20-mile drive to the east and from there you can cross the bridge to the holiday island of Öland, a World Heritage Site.
