Hertz at Borlange

Borlänge Central Railway Station is a modern facility in the heart of this modern town in central Sweden. The whole station area was recently redeveloped with new Wi-Fi, restaurants, cycle paths and taxi ranks now provided. There's parking available on both sides of the tracks. If you arrange to collect a hire car at Borlänge Central Station you'll find it's a handy spot for both the town centre and for traveling further afield. The E16 and NR 50/70 roads pass very close to the station and these trunk roads lead off in four different directions into the surrounding Dalarna countryside.

Borlänge was originally a tiny village. It grew rapidly in the 19th century when a railway station and steel works were built. Soon it became a busy industrial centre. Visitors who hire a car in Borlänge will find that the SSAB ironworks still stand close to the Central Station today. On the other side of the Station is the popular Kupolen ‘Dome' Shopping Centre. The oldest sight in Borlänge is the grand whitewashed medieval church of Stora Tuna with its distinctive black spire poking up as a landmark amid the trees in pretty waterside parks in the south of the city.
