It's under half an hour's drive north east of the town and there is the chance to fish and swim in the lake, and also take in the wildlife as neighbouring Lake Rössjön is also a bird sanctuary. You can also travel just over half an hour out to the Nimis sculpture on the peak of the coast. The wooden sculpture is formed from driftwood planks, by artist Lars Vilks. It was created illegally on a nature reserve in the 80s, but is now a popular destination for tourists to mix with the locals and play a game of stone racing.
