Hertz at Oviedo

Oviedo is an excellent mix of shopping, beaches and history, making it a complete destination for the tourist with diverse tastes. Car hire in Oviedo is recommended for anyone travelling to the coast, to visit the spectacular views of the Playa de Ballota beach and the wonderful Catedral de San Salvador; or the shops, restaurants and cafés on Calle Uria. Oviedo is the capital of Asturias, and enjoys a vibrancy and laid-back culture which is typically Spanish. If you rent a car in Oviedo you can be at the beach in around half an hour.

When in Oviedo itself many tourists will enjoy ambling around the Calle Uria which offers a huge range of shops, restaurants and bars; Oviedo can be an exciting late night city. Harder to reach sights like the Monte Naranco with its breath taking Christ Statue, and the beaches such as Playa de Ballota are all north of the city centre and most accessible by hiring a car in Oviedo. We have bases at both Asturias Airport, and in the City itself and would highly recommend that you rent a car in Oviedo to take in these sights. The A66 and A8 take you toward the seafront via the main roads.
