Parking in Lanzarote
- Parking Islas Canarias (35500) is located inside Arrecife Gran Hotel. From here, you're close to Playa Reducto and Parque Islas Canarias.
- Biosfera Plaza Car Park (35510) is great for those hitting the shops of Biosfera Plaza. It's also close to Playa Chica and Old Town Harbour.
- Street parking is available in most towns and cities on the island. Look out for any markings - white is free to use, yellow is restricted.
Key roads in Lanzarote
- The LZ-1 runs from Arrecife on the southeast coast to La Corona in the north.
- The LZ-2 connects Playa Blanca on the south coast to Arrecife.
- The LZ-40 branches from the LZ-2 west of Arrecife towards Puerto del Carmen.
How to get from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen
It takes just over 15 minutes to drive the nine miles (15km) from Arrecife to the resort town of Puerto del Carmen.
- From Parking Islas Canarias, join Avenue de la Mancomunidad.
- Take the second exit onto C. Coronel Ildefonso Valls de la Torre.
- At the traffic lights, turn left on to Calle Manolo Millares.
- Take the fourth exit, then keep left to merge onto the LZ-2.
- Stay on the LZ-2 for three miles (4.5km), then use the left lane to exit the highway toward Puerto del Carmen.
- Join the LZ-40 for four miles (6km), then use the right lane to join the LZ-505.
- Carry on straight along the LZ-505 to reach Biosfera Plaza Shopping Centre.
How to get from Arrecife to Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is less than a 45-minute drive from Arrecife. Simply leave the city via Calle Manolo Millares to join the LZ-2, then follow the LZ-2 for 22 miles (35km) or until the road ends to reach Playa Blanca.
