Hertz at Sandefjord

Sandefjord is a city located 12km south of Oslo, in the Vestfold county of Norway. Hiring a car in Sandefjord gives you the chance to explore the city's rich Viking history as well as take a trip to the Whaling Museum - the only museum in Europe dedicated to this industry and its history. Sandefjord is also home to what is most likely the only floating church in Europe, The Chapel at the Harbour. The city is also home to a number of galleries and a Whaling monument which rotates on its own axis allowing you to see the whole of the sculpture.

Rent a car in Sandefjord and visit The Whaling Museum which opened in 1917, here you can discover all about the city's history of whaling. The area is also a great place to explore by hiking and the coastline stretches an impressive 150km in length meaning there is plenty of room to spend a day at the beach. If you want to explore more of Norway, Oslo, the country's capital, is just over one and a half hours drive away. You could take a day trip here and spend the day seeing the Viking Ship Museum amongst other things.
