Brindisi airport is small, with only one runway and one terminal. The Hertz rental desk is located at Brindisi airport service desk which you will see as soon as you come through arrivals. The rental desk is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 11 pm. The car lot is situated only a short walk from the terminal building.
The Hertz car hire desk is located inside the terminal. Because Brindisi is such a small airport, you won’t need a shuttle service to take you to our car lot where you can pick up and return your car. It’s a short walk and the Hertz service team will point you in the right direction. It’s easily accessible by wheelchair.
The centre of Brindisi is just a 12-minute drive from the airport.
A family might go for an Opel Grandland or similar. This is a 4-5 Door, automatic, with aircon and takes 5 passengers and 3 large and two small suitcases. It does 41 miles/gallon.
For more adventurous rides, hires such as a Jeep Renegade might be a right fit. This is a compact, crossover vehicle and can seat 5 passengers and 2 large and one small suitcase.
A compact car hire such as a Fiat 500X or similar can fit four passengers with enough space for luggage, perfect for weekends away or small family holidays.
Navigate the twisting small streets of Brindisi in a mini car hire with Hertz. Enjoy finding that perfect parking spot in a Fiat 500 or similar.

Late return fees
You should endeavour to return your vehicle as close as you can to your pre-arranged drop-off time. If you fail to do this, you may be charged a further day’s rental. A limited grace period of 29 minutes may be allowed at your return location, but this is at its discretion.
Payment methods
Hertz accepts most credit and debit cards (though restrictions apply). The card should be in the name of the driver of the rental car. We take a deposit from the card on pick up, calculated on the rental cost of your rental, a full tank of fuel and extras you choose. Read more about our payment options.
Fuel level checks
Hertz staff will check how much fuel is left in the vehicle on return drop off. You will have selected a fuel option when you picked up the car and you will only be charged in relation to that. Our Fuel Policy has more details.
Unattended returns
Sometimes you will need to return your vehicle outside of opening hours. You can discuss this with our friendly team when you pick-up your vehicle. They will inform you if out-of-hours drop-off is permitted. It will be explained that it is you will be responsible for the vehicle until the office at that location re-opens so the car can be checked.

(Translated by Google) I had a positive experience especially with the reception and booking staff, contrary to what many reviews say. Always kind and helpful with customers. I have never had the opportunity to test telephone customer support and I hope I never need it (as it would mean that the rental is going well). If I may allow myself a small negative side note: the car I was given was the one in the advert (Lynk & Co 01, really beautiful). I found it empty of windshield wiper fluid (not a bad thing), but above all unfortunately I found it dirty and "washed" badly. You could see the marks of the water and the rag on the windows. Nothing serious, but attention to detail needs improvement. We can always do better, but we are in the right direction!

Petrol / Diesel vehicles:
If you do not take our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) – see Fuel Policy for details - and do not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, we will fill the tank for you and charge you for the costs we incur and the service we provide in doing so.
Our costs include purchasing, storing and managing our own fuel supplies, or refilling the tank off site, plus manpower and administration costs. Our service, of course, saves you from taking the time to find a local fuel station and refilling the vehicle yourself.
The refuelling charge for your rental will be calculated as follows:
1.1 x weekly pump price taken from the EU Commission Energy website plus €36.60 (including tax) service charge.
We will show the actual cost of refuelling on your rental agreement when you pick up your vehicle.
Electric vehicles:
Hertz will record the vehicle battery charge at the start of the rental. Failure to return the vehicle in the same state of charge as at pick-up will result in a recharging fee per missing kWh.
Please see recharging policy
