Hamm is a city in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It occupies an intriguing position just north of Dortmund and not far south of Munster, with prime access to two of Germany's major motorways. There are also important rail links to the city, making car hire from Hamm a great idea for new arrivals. Find our pickup location at Westbahnhof Railway Station.
Pauluskirche is a central landmark of the city, and if you're hiring a car from Hamm you'll find plenty of attractions just outside the city-centre: the Sri Kamadchi Ampal Tempel and Maximilianpark are well worth a visit.
St Paul's Church is one of central Hamm's major landmarks and the site of the Christmas Market. Travelling east through the city, you'll encounter Maximilianpark which is famed for its Elephant statue; find the park just off Braamer Straße. Schloss Heesen is on the other side of the Lippe, adjacent to the park; worth a visit if you're hiring a car from Hamm. The huge temple known as Sri Kamadchi Ampal Tempel can be found further east on Lippestraße.
Rent a car from Hamm and Dortmund is just over half an hour away on the A2. Here you'll find Borussia Dortmund's famous Signal Iduna Park. Hamm can be a good alternative base for football tourists.
