Valenton is a suburb of Paris, lying 15km south-east of the capital. It's valued for its parks and the eccentric Plage Bleue Park, which features a kind of inner city beach. Valenton is in the delectable Val-de-Marne department - one of only three departments of the 'Inner Circle', which immediately surrounds the famous 'Arrondissements'. Being to the southeast of the city, car hire in Valenton is popular. Disneyland Paris is conveniently on this side of Paris and there are local attractions like the Chateau Vincennes which is just a short drive north. Hiring a car in Valenton is available from the town itself, CDG Airport, and Orly Airport, amongst others.
Valenton is a good location for reasonable accommodation and quick access to Paris, which is only 15km on the D6/A4; this equates to roughly a half hour drive if you're hiring a car in Valenton. Valenton's famous centrepiece is La Plage Bleue, a lovely green space with a beach type area at the centre. Paris needs little introduction with attractions such as the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, the Left Bank, the boulevards and the bridges - all just half an hour from Valenton.
Disneyland Paris is around 44km away, using the ever-handy A4, and the nearby Chateau Vincennes makes for a nice detour on your drive into Paris. If you rent a car in Valenton, parking and finding reasonable accommodation can be more easily achieved than in Paris.
