Toul is a commune in the north east of France, around 12km to the border of Germany. Sat on the banks of the Moselle, the commune is close to the city of Nancy, a cultural delight to visit, if you rent a car in Toul. Toul is home to a number of notable Roman landmarks, with the stone fotifications putting the place well and truly on the map. In fact, several of the fortifications, created by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, are listed as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town's cathedral is currently being restored, to bring the gothic architecture back to its former glory.
