Le Lavandou is a town on the French Riviera, which is often considered as having two distinct facets: the coastal side which is Lavandou, and Bormes (also known as Bormes-les-Mimosas). Bormes is a 10-minute drive inland and a fine reason to hire a car from Le Lavandou. The town is framed by the Maures Mountains which lie directly behind the town, but perhaps the real charms of Lavendou are the twelve beaches that line its coast. The beaches decorate a long stretch of coast and the best way to see them all is by hiring a car from Le Lavandou - available from our location at Rue Auguste Renoir.
The beaches of Le Lavandou line the coast to the east of the town: some are fairly close by using the D559, but beaches further along the coast like Plage de Pramousquier and Plage du Cap Nègre are worth a visit too. The idyllic neighbouring town of Bourmes is a short drive north which also marks the beginning of the famous Route du Mimosa. This scenic drive is an ideal way to survey the area - rent a car from Le Lavandou and you can also make the short drive to the exotic peninsula known as Presqu'île de Giens on the D98.
