The city of Pickering stands on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Canada, just 24 miles to the east of the bigger city of Toronto. Visitors who hire a car in Pickering will find all the attractions of Toronto easy to hand along Highway 41. These include the CN Tower, the Zoo, Casa Loma Museum and Canada's Wonderland Theme Park. The world-class destination of Niagara Falls is just over 1 miles away by road although boat trips to the Falls across the lake are often available too. The vast wilderness of Algonquin National Park is about two hours drive to the north.
