Hertz at Londrina

The city of Londrina stands in the south of Brazil, in the State of Parana. It is 23 miles from the State capital Curitiba. The local airport, Governor Jose Richa Airport, is three miles south-east of the city centre. If you hire a car in Londrina You'll soon find it stands in an area of well manicured farmland but there are spots where original rainforest remains. One of the easiest to reach is the Parque Estadual Mata dos Godoy to the southwest. Further afield popular tourist activities include visiting a coffee plantation and canoeing, boating or rafting on the rivers.

Londrina is a modern university and cathedral city built in a region of rivers and lakes. Expect to find green parks around this watery urban landscape. One of the best is the Arthur Thomas Park, with its own forest where monkeys live, boating lake, café, waterfall and marked trails - there's also a viewing tower here to climb up for a great panorama of the city. it's easiest to get around if you have a hire car. Other highlights include the quirky historical museum housed in a disused train station, the museum of modern art and the Calçadão pedestrian shopping area, which has British red telephone boxes in honour of Londrina's name, which means 'Little London'.
