All cars from the Hertz Green Collection offer a CO2 output level of less than 140g/km, making more environmentally friendly than most other cars. This CO2 level is already below the 2008 voluntary levels set by the EU for the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.

The cars in the Hertz Green Collection also achieve 45-65mpg, depending upon vehicle size. So they're more fuel efficient too. Also, specific models including Volkswagen BlueMotion's and the Toyota Auris, are exclusively exempt from congestion charging in London.
